Cator, Ruma & Associates provided the mechanical and electrical design as well as contract administration for MEP systems for the Children’s Hospital Colorado East Tower Addition Project.  This project entailed a 124-bed, ten-story addition to the hospital on the Fitzsimons campus to accommodate increased patient load.  Two floors of diagnostic and treatment (D&T) and three patient tower floors were shelled for future build-out.  Services within the new addition include: 

• Lab
• The Heart Institute (including cath labs, hybrid ORs, and CV ORs)
• Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Maternal Fetal (including C-Section ORs and Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Room) 
• BMT/Oncology patient bed floor 
• Mechanical and electrical infrastructure to support the complete build-out
