This project is a replacement hospital for the existing Lutheran Medical Center. The 668,000 sq ft hospital is a Level II Trauma Center includes 200 licensed beds and 16 shelled beds. The design allows for a total of 222 licensed beds. The building consists of a 3-story diagnostics and treatment platform with a 4-story bed tower that includes a mechanical plenum and a 3-story structure for the central utility plant (CUP). The top floor consists of a mechanical penthouse and a helipad for a total of 7 stories.
