Project description
The building features a two-story media and community space that serves as the central hub for occupants. This “central plaza” connects two primary wings of the school, organized by function: the specialized spaces to the north and the classroom areas to the east.
A second-floor “nest” provides a flexible learning and presentation space, offering views of the central plaza below. In the specials wing, the Music Studio features an operable wall that opens to the Cafeteria and Stage, enabling versatile use. The Cafeteria can host both small performances and larger assemblies, with direct access to the main playgrounds for easy monitoring and supervision during recess. Additionally, the Technology and Art Studios are configured for collaborative STEM projects and feature display areas that face the media center, encouraging interaction and integration across disciplines.
